Well done, Kate!

There are two comments in the story that may shed some light on the
doggedness of Alston and the Libs re the censorship bill:

"During last year's federal election campaign, the internet
was used for dirty tricks, with a hacker breaking into the
official Liberal Party site and hotlinking senior ministers'
                names to hard-core pornographic websites.

"And as Senator Lundy knows, the home pages can prod
along political dogfights. In her case, she has used the site
to publish a statement two months ago that accused
Senator Alston of breaching "netiquette" by spamming
out e-mails about the Federal Government's censorship
                legislation.

Is this last bit why he's shut down his email site? He can send spam, but he
doesn't like the consequences of his actions?
