Hi Karl,
I agree. Personally, if I can't reply to someone's email, I don't take it
very seriously - particularly if it's on a listserve and my reply would be
out of the list's scope.
IMHO, most lists get the occasional barrage of spam/trolls, and most of
the time the trouble makers get bored and move on to greener pastures.
Link has been a little unlucky lately, but I think it's just a passing
phase. And like Karl says, there are ways to filter content at the
user's end. It really doesn't take me long to glance at an email and hit
the "D" key... even if there are lots of them.
