same as what they did to force people to upgrade to W95 and then W98
- Word, Excel, etc for Win 2000 will not be compatible with earlier
versions.

if one person in the company/organisation upgrades, everyone will have
to. if any of your customers or contacts upgrades then you will have to
too, otherwise you won't be able to read the Word documents that their
Outlook programs send you.

you can have any operating system you like, as long as it's Windows
2000.
