NET NEEDS HUGE INVESTMENT
Nortel Networks and IDC estimated that spending on Internet infrastructure
will
quadruple to $1.5 trillion by 2003, more than that spent on ecommerce,
making the
Internet economy the third largest in the world.  The report says a
high-performance Internet is necessary to cater to growing demands and ease
bottlenecks.
