Information for anyone intending to use Dymocks Online service....a first
hand report.

On January 17 I placed an online order with Dymocks which was subsequently
confirmed by them and complete with a Safe Trade warranty. I posted a
cheque, advised them of the post and then waited for my book (Learning
Debian/GNU) to arrive.

A week later I emailed the service address inquiring about the order. No reply.
Over the next couple of days I sent numerous more emails....no replies.
Somewhat frustrated I resorted to a long distance phone call and was
relieved to here that yes my cheque was received and my book would be
despatched that day. A confirming email was sent also claiming the book
would be despatched that day and delivery would be 2 - 5 days. The date is
now Feb 3.

On the 9th I called again and was informed that my book was sent on the 7th.

It is now the 16th and guess what.......no book. Nor can anyone at Dymocks
main store in Sydney help, I have to speak to the web site personnel and
they are away until thursday.

Let the buyer beware.........

ps: I since found a bundle at LSL for $20 cheaper, same book and CD with
Myth 2 demo thrown in. Guess I should have shopped around first :-)
