Internal documents can be discovered in court proceedings. Also employees
can accidently or deliberately send them outside the organization.

Once at the Defence Department I received a message from a senior manager at
a well known multinational IT company explaining what they didn't like about
me and why I was "biased" (because I recommended lower cost, open standard,
Australian made products over inferior imported ones). They had somehow
included me on the address list to their staff!

By now anyone in business should realize that anything they, or their staff,
type into a computer may be discovered and used against them.
