Hello Mark, Josh and Adam ..

In a kind response to the query, "Was one of AuDA's goals
to avoid domain-name speculation?" Mark Hughes acting CEO
.au Domain Administration & Josh Rowe (Aussie Post) wrote:

I would guess such Panels, lacking real alternatives, will take
an inevitable viewpoint that domain name speculation will occur.

"However consideration should be given to prioritising existing
areas of user concern including review of policies necessary to
support introduction of competition between registrars in major
second level domains" Registrar competition in name on-selling?

Indeed, at it.fairfax.com, one reads last Thursday (archive fee)
that melbourneit has developed automatic batch conversion/update
of domain registration details. I wonder which final auDA policy
determinations might be best regarding au domain name on-selling
and public access to accurate and reliable registration details?

Cheers, Mark
