I buy from Amazon regularly, and choose the 7-14 day US Postal Service
express. The books often turn up in less than 7 days.(Providing the books
you select are "usually shipped within 24 hours", and not those with
longer ship times or out-of-stock).
ZEven paying for the 7day postal delivery, and with exchange rates, the
books end up less than buying locally - only by a small margin each, but I
often buy 5 -8 books at a time, so the savings become significant.
Sure, If I want a book urgently, I'll pay the price premium to walk out of
the store with it - otherwise, I've never had a problem with Amazon.
Cheers,
Andrew.
