Yeah. And the number of ISPs in Australia has rationalised from 200 or so down
to 900 or so. Oops.

INCREDIBLE SHRINKING NET
Securities Data says last year there were 639 Internet-related mergers
and acquisitions worth a total of $36.7 billion. Is the Net starting to
  implode? CNet points out that between   1904 and 1908, 240 companies
competed in the auto business. Now there are 40, and getting fewer. CNet
predicts a big contraction in the number of Net businesses in a special
