This is request suggestions of small to medium enterprises (SMEs) doing
business with government online (what might be described as b2G). This is
for a 2400 word magazine article I am preparing for the Business Entry Point
(outline below).

Please note that I need specific examples, preferably with links to on-line
source material. Most helpful would be replies like: "We at XYZ Pty Ltd.
sell widgets online to government. We would be happy to be used as a case
study. Details are at: http://www.xyz.com.au."

Business to government online commerce (By Tom Worthington)

Part 1: How a SME goes about B2G e-commerce

- What is B2G e-commerce? What does it include?
- Can SMEs compete for government work by using the Internet?
- If so how (step-by-step)?
- What does the SME need to have in place in order to do it?

Part 2: How the government is using the Internet to facilitate business
services Governments are also facilitating the services they provide to
business, with online procurement and payment. This can be done from
regional areas, perhaps without even having to buy a computer or an Internet
connection.

- Australian Government Initiatives for Online Business
- Initiatives for Regional Access
- Making payments online
- Tips for Low cost e-business
- Paying your Licence Renewal online

+ B2G Case study of a SME that is currently doing B2G on a level playing
field with larger companies.

ps: I could also do with some technical material for the ANU's e-commerce
course <http://cs.anu.edu.au/displayUnit.html?unitCode=comp3410>. OGO have
agreed to allow the Government Electronic Procurement Implementation Strategy
<http://www.ogo.gov.au/projects/eprocurement/ImplementationStrategy.htm> to
be used as a case study. Perhaps some companies could provide details of
technology for the students to use to answer the challenges in the
Government's strategy, such as the 18 character problem.
