Hello there,

In terms of recent posts which have made reference to auDA, perhaps linkers
who might feel dissatisfied would do better seeking change from within auDA
by nominating for the Board of Directors? Note, membership is not necessary.

auDA announces 2000 AGM Nomination Procedure

   This email is a summary of the call for nominations for election
   to the Board of Directors of auDA.

   The election will be finalised at auDA's second Annual General
   Meeting, to be held in early December 2000 in Melbourne, subject
   to confirmation. AGM details will be announced in October/November.

   The second Annual General Meeting will elect 6 Directors to the Board,
   to replace 6 Directors who must retire from the First Board in
   accordance with clause 19.3 of auDA's constitution. The Directors
   elected will serve for a term of two years.

   People intending to stand for election to the Board of Directors
   should note that their signed nominations must be received by 5pm,
   AEDT, Tuesday 7th November 2000. Membership of auDA is not strictly
   necessary for nominees seeking to become Directors, but candidates
   must be nominated and seconded by financial auDA members.

   Nomination forms for election to the board, more information about
   auDA AGM 2000, and membership applications are at
	http://www.auda.org.au/agm2000/

   auDA encourages all parties interested in participating in Australian
   domain name issues to become financial members of auDA. To vote for
   the Board, intending new members should apply for membership by 5pm
   AEDT, Friday 3rd November 2000 at the latest.
