I happen to think that this is worthy of mention in an intelligent area
such as LINK. I think this is one of the most important things that has
happened to Australia for a long time.
It is true that there are political newsgroups etc, but generally, they
are a series of flames trying to shoot others down. Most times,
intelligent discussion isn't exactly looked upon highly!
If we aren't working for the Common Good in IT, what's the point?
Einstein said "Nothing great was ever done alone".
If we are prepared to send 260 odd people to almost certain death,
what's the point?
And out reputation as a country is under serious threat.
