I'm sorry, and you all know how I feel about this, but
everytime I hear these grandiose claims of "computer in every child's hands"
sorts of things, I cannot help feeling that Bill Gates is wringing his
hands with glee as yet more licenses for MS software are acquired and
then must be maintained. Not to mention the "mindshare" that is is
achieved with every generation (we all know how much kids and their kids love
McDonalds).
There has to be much better ways to spend billions of dollars than this...
