<http://www.it-director.com/article.asp?id=1511>Mac attacks, Linux
allies IT Director In 1999, Apple decided to re-engineer its
Operating System using the OpenSource philosophy, a popular technique
predominantly used by the Linux development community. Mac OSX is now
set for release in the next few months. If successful, this brave
decision could payoff as the best ever made for a Unix Desktop. If
unsuccessful, a lot more is at stake than Apple alone loosing out.
How will the market respond? Will the market reject or embrace this
new "open" commercial dilemma?
