Isn't it about time we stopped Microsoft bashing? I know Bernard's posting
is just in fun but lets stop for a moment and really think where we might be
in computer software and hardware development if it wasn't for Bill Gates.
What company could have, or would now, step in to the breach if Microsoft
was not there? Some companies might have the product (e.g. Linux) but what
about the marketing savvy and or the ability to bring software developers
along with them?
Love him or hate him, Bill Gates has not become the richest man in the world
by producing lemons. Obviously there have been bugs along the way but what
consumer product does not have them? As a small business person continually
using Microsoft products I can only applaud Microsoft for their product and
marketing skill - if only I could be so clever!
