*You* mightn't - anyone who is unfortunate enough to be connected to
Telstra does - especially if the ratio of inbound to outbound is low
enough. As would apply in a high volume mailing-list site {your example of
3000 messages a day does NOT qualify as "high volume"}.

And unfortunately, as much as we'd wish otherwise, there's still a
signifigant percentage of ISP's still connect to Telstra.
