Not sure where Frank is, but BP ADSL has been fine in Melbourne for a few
days. If you power down the PC every night, as I do, the biggest problem
with BP ADSL is that their authentication server dies regularly - about once
a week, so you cannot log on. If you ring the help desk too early, you are
told to call back after 8 am (9 am?). I don't know how many people live at
that number but I stayed on hold for about 30 minutes last week before I
gave up. Another time, when I did get through, the guy cheerfully asked if
I had tried it moments earlier -- of course, it was fixed by then.

Thankfully, I never use the BP account to receive email.
