Since several people on Link have emailed me offlist asking whether EFA
noticed the _other_ letter in yesterday's Australian, to save anyone else
asking, yes we saw it, and we'd imagine Mr Griffin or his staff probably
did too.

The end of EFA's letter to Mr Griffin says:

"We also take this opportunity to advise you that claims that Electronic
Frontiers Australia Inc. is a "porn peddler", as alleged by
Mr Bill Muehlenberg of the Australian Family Association in his
letter published in The Australian on the same day as your letter,
are without basis in fact. EFA is not involved in the sale or
distribution of pornography. EFA telephoned Mr Muehlenberg yesterday
and he advised he had gained that impression from the media. We are
unaware of such an allegation being previously published in the
media. EFA is a volunteer, non-profit national organisation
incorporated under South Australian law in May 1994...""

Btw, for those who've never heard of Mr Muehlenberg before, he from time to
time represents the Australian Family Association, the Festival of Light
and Focus on the Family. I do not know whether he represents more than one
of them at the same time, or moves backwards and forwards among them.

The Festival of Light has previously alleged that EFA is a member of the
pornography industry, under parliamentary privilege in one of their
submissions to a Senate Committee inquiry.
