Hi all

Something of interest from the UK Daily Telegraph and
Newsweek/MSNBC...

Cheers
David

The Web’s Dark Secret (Newsweek/MSNBC)
Before the Internet came along, pedophiles were lonely and hunted
individuals. Authorities had child pornography under control. Today
networks of child abusers are proliferating worldwide. A NEWSWEEK
investigation.

March 19 issue — Father Fortunato Di Noto counts himself as having
once been among the innocent, or at least the blissfully ignorant. He
is everything you might expect an Italian priest to be: portly,
balding, popular among the local kids, prone to passionate bursts of
indignation.

Need Net regulation? Don't ask the Government (Daily Telegraph)

The Government is bamboozled over the question of whether standards
of taste and decency should apply to material appearing on the
internet.

WHOEVER is in power, the typical moan of the private sector is that
government does not understand its needs. There is a fair amount of
truth in this, as evinced by the rising burden of regulation under
both Tories and Labour over the past decade.
