EUROPE WIRES UP - AT LAST
The number of European Union homes connected to the Net increased 55% 
between March and October, so Europe   now has as many Internet users 
as the US. The main reason for the increase is deregulated telecom 
markets which meant Internet access prices across Europe fell by an 
average of 23%. In some places prices were halved.
