INTEL SWITCHES  WIRELESS STANDARD
Intel has switched its support from  the HomeRF wireless
standard to 802.11B, or Wi-Fi. Differing standards in the
  emerging home-networking market, akin to the old VHS versus
Betamax war, has confused customers. The change by Intel now
    gives 802.11B the edge.
