send them a letter complaining that their idiotic policy is forcing you
to either give up online banking or change to another bank. the third
alternative, using an insecure browser on an insecure operating system
is not a viable option for anyone who actually cares about security.
CC your message to the ACCC, highlighting the anti-competitiveness
of forcing you to use the monopolist microsoft's web browser on the
monopolist's operating system.
it might also be worth pointing out that if their internet banking site
doesn't work with SSL-enabled lynx or links (text-only, non-javascript)
browsers then it unfairly discriminates against blind & disabled users.
CC your message to the Equal Opportunities Commission.

ps: i dumped ANZ a few years ago for exactly this reason. their internet
banking service worked fine on Linux Netscape until they "improved"
it...then it didn't work at all (amongst other problems, a java applet
locked netscape solid). it was the final straw, so i switched to Bendigo
Bank. i wouldn't change back for anything.
