As I understand our previous discussion the patches to avoid nimba's
exploits were were available months ago.

When nimba arrived there was a heap of publicity and I recollect
somebody commenting on the incompetence of any site which might get
caught after that happened.

What does this say about the Defence Dept's ability to combat real
cyber attacks from terrorists?

They can't even defend against known exploits by a known worm which
had received ample publicity.
