Hi there,

Apparently this new Wine-like effort is at beta.

(Must be carefull sharing news with link, ie, quoting
the website rather than rewriting, haha, Craig spits it)

"Lindows OS is built around a Linux core, it runs Linux software natively, 
[and also] PCs running LindowsOS have the ability to run both Linux and 
Windows software."

"Lindows.com, <http://www.lindows.com> a 20-person San Diego company led by 
former MP3.com Chief Executive Michael Robertson, plans to sell a preview 
edition of the software this quarter, with version 1.0 coming in early 2002."

"The software is based on the Wine open-source effort to mimic the commands 
that Windows programs use. Lindows adds proprietary software with 
improvements such as making fonts appear better or software install more 
easily .. "
