It never ceases to amaze me the number of web sites that use Javascript
for simple functionality that is perfectly provided for by plain old HTML.
Hyperlinks are popular offenders, as are forms submissions

I presume this is due to automated "no brainer" web page design software
that thinks it knows best. And the clueless web designer who knows not a
skerrick of HTML nor how to override the stupid decisions made by the design
software.
