US bombing error kills nine

A number of people were injured by the bomb
A US missile has struck a village in Afghanterritory controlled by the anti-Taleban Northern Alliance.Nine people from twofamilies were killed when the bomb hit the village of Ghani Kheil on Saturdayafternoon, according to Red Cross sources, and up to 20 were injured.
