HACKERS AS TERRORISTS
The new Anti-Terrorism Act the US government is rushing through
  would classify many computer crimes as acts of terrorism with
penalties of life in jail without parole. Most of the terrorism
offences are what you'd expect, but the list also includes
provisions from the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, such as
hacking into a computer to obtain anything of value, or to cause
damage  launching a virus,  or making an extortionate threat to
  damage a computer. See
