I think you are missing the point here Rachel.
The purpose of corporate web site is not to actually perform a useful
function, but to give the suits the opportunity to say "We have a strong
web presence".
Just imagine those screen shots of the front page in the annual report.
Won't they give the shareholders that warm fuzzy feeling. Besides, it
allows the VP marketing to hide the vast amount that he paid to his wife's
cousin to produce the crap.
