This is to request comments on "Metadata: the 'killer application' for
digital broadcasting? (or: "Interactive TV?: Its the Internet, Stupid"):
http://www.tomw.net.au/2002/mka.html

This is for the Australian Broadcasting Authority 2002 Conference "What
Will Australian Audiences Want?", 29-30 April 2002 in Canberra.

Corrections, suggested additions and comments would be welcome.

Technical types should find the metadata standard proposed for personal
digital video recorders of interest. Culture jammers should like the idea
of being able to reedit broadcast TV in everyone's set top box. Canberra
residents may like the suggestion of becoming broadcasters via the Transact
broadband network.
