Yes, Telstra continue to fax out the "We only guarantee lines to a maximum
of 2400 bps" that was after they sent me a "form letter" (which I still
have) in 1996 claiming the maximum was 2400 BAUD. So I asked them to
explain why my 28k8 modems weren't working as they are based on the 2400
BAUD protocol :)
Damn me. I shouldn't have given the technical answer to them!
So if you are getting greater than 2400 bps, Telstra has meet it's
obligations under the Telecommunications (CPSS) Act with more than flying
colours.
