The Australian Communications Industry Forum (ACIF) invites public comment
from industry and consumers on a recently revised draft Industry Code that
has been released for a 30 day public comment period - i.e.
· DR ACIF C541 Credit Management Industry Code
DR ACIF C541 Credit Management Industry Code sets out requirements on
telecommunications providers in relation to their processes for credit
assessment and credit management, including the suspension and disconnection
of customers. The revisions to the Code deal with issues raised by the
Privacy Act 1988, requirements for customer barring, procedures for dealing
with prepaid products and procedures to ensure customers are fully informed.
The Australian Communications Industry Forum (ACIF) is an industry owned,
operated and resourced company established by the telecommunications
