[LINK] APC mag - Fed govt computer games industry spending

I was reading the dead tree edition of the December APC magazine and these
figures from the 'Data Dump' section caught my eye:

  Local video games market value (2001): $500M+
  Federal govt games industry spending: $0

This would seem like an ideal industry to foster locally.  Wonder what 
the export potential is.
