Folks
I hope this is of interest. Australians and New Zealanders have a lot
to contribute about the use of technology and its impact on societies
- I urge you to participate in this conference. please forward this
message to others who may be interested.

Liddy

The Global Community Track
(http://www.www2003.org/cfp.htm#Global%20Community) at the leading
web conference WWW2003 (http://www.www2003.org/) will offer
participants an important chance to think about technology and
societies - especially the impacts globally of the technologies that
are emerging.
Your participation in this work is encouraged: there is still time to
submit a long (or short) paper but if you cannot come. maybe you can
encourage others who have a contribution to make to submit a paper?
If you are contemplating a paper, please don't hesitate to contact
the track Co-Chairs (mailto:liddy@motile.net) for any help or
questions you may have. The Track format, while conventional for
papers, is less formal than for some tracks and we will be looking
for sessions that will be interesting for our participants. So if you
are not going to submit a paper, you still might like to submit a
proposal for a presentation (send it directly to the Co-chairs).
The range of topics is broad - there is so much to think about - but
the Track usually finds a way to weave through the many issues. The
background of the entire WWW2003 Conference provides a great
opportunity for participants to mingle and the Global Community Track
generally entices techies to participate which makes it an important
meeting place for people with different perspectives.
Papers are due by midnight (Hawaii time) November 29
(http://www.www2003.org/cfp.htm).
