NICOLA Franklin, of Elvina Bay, on the Hawkesbury, says her
latest Diners Card statement was accompanied by a letter from the
managing director assuring members that Diners Club had a Y2K
program that would provide for a smooth transition into the 2000s.
Shades of the Telstra warning that an overdue account should be
paid by January 4, 1900 (Column 8, December 27). "The
statement," she says, "records that my debit day is 4 Jan 1900."
