Works similarly in libraries also but here there is a triple cycle 
for large library systems; organisation by -

	Function eg cataloguing, serials, reader service, collection 
development

	Geography eg based on buildings where the collections are located

	Reader focus by subject

In any organisation there is always the cry "if only we were 
organised by [insert organising principle] these stuff-ups wouldn't 
happen and we would be more efficient".
