Sun ran a campaign a long time ago with a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog
named "Network" as a mascot. Rumour has it that the campaign was
unceremoniously pulled because they didn't like the thought that their
"network" might "run like a dog". (I've still got a stuffed toy Network
somewhere).

Interestingly, while
http://www.sun.com/corporateoverview/ceo/mgt-network.html still shows
Network's bio as a member of the corporate management team, he's not
shown in the top-level http://www.sun.com/corporateoverview/ceo/index.html

Have MS fallen into the same trap? ;-)
