Ahoy Linkers -
I'm currently finishing off an article on filtering
software for the magazine internet.au and am briefly
looking at the dreaded BSA and how filtering software
factors in its operations. Now, to my knowledge,
filtering software comes into play in BSA-land when
the issue of overseas 'innapropriate content' is
addressed, in that the BSA obliges ISPs to provide a
filtered ISP-service to customers. Can anyone else
clarify how filtering software fits into the BSA's
vision, or where else in this whole censorship mess it
comes into play? Thoughts and sum-uppances would be
greatly apprieciated.
Cheers,
Dan
