that the US seems to have the democratisation of the middle east on its agenda
has only dawned on me in the last few weeks and the sheer scope scale and audacity
of the plan has to just leave you in awe. 

there is actually the real potential for the first time ever that 
with the democratisation of palestine, that it and israel might find some
common ground and stop killing each other.

democracy will improve the lives of potentially hundreds of millions
of arabs. and this is why after being actively involved in voicing my opinion
against the US in previous wars that I find myself in the bizzare position
of having to support this war.

the US must win in iraq, it must then leverage that win to pull kicking and
screaming if required as much of the arab world towards democracy as it can.

is bush a simple texan cowboy with a black and white view? absolutely, and he has
over a trillion dollars a year to say that a simple black and white view
is probably good enough to do the trick.
