> 31 per cent comprised non-delivery of merchandise bought over the net
Its difficult to take seriously the claim that there's a major problem with
non-delivery of merchandise bought over the net.
The payment method of choice for most transactions with 'unknown sellers'
(i.e., not with known sellers who you already have experience with such as
Harvey Normal, Woolworths, etc) is the credit card. If something you paid
for via the internet by credit card doesn't get delivered, you cancel the
credit card transaction. By and large its the seller who carries the risk,
not the buyer.
In this respect the internet is no different from ordering via the phone.
