The Australian Communications Industry Forum (ACIF) invites public comment
on a draft Industry Code that has been released for a 30 day public comment
period - i.e.

· DR ACIF C612:2003 Customer Requested Barring Industry Code

The Draft Customer Requested Barring Industry Code defines the customer
requested blocking of access from a customer's telephone service to a
Carrier's or a Carriage Service Provider's service offering.  On
publication, the Code will supersede the ACIF C504:1998 Customer Barring
Industry Code.

The Australian Communications Industry Forum (ACIF) is an industry owned,
operated and resourced company established by the telecommunications
industry to implement and manage communications self-regulation within
Australia.  Its primary role is to develop and administer Standards and
Industry Codes and provide Industry Facilitation Services that promote both
the long-term interests of end-users and the efficiency and international
competitiveness of the Australian communications industry.
