The Brits' broadband lobby has some interesting stuff to show off ... IIRC
Marconi has worked up an improved TV-over-DSL system for an Italian
broadcaster/broadband operator. There's a guy called Martin Harriman at
Marconi who's also on the British broadband advisory group.
Ericsson is involved in several PON projects.
You could pack your scepticism and wander into Living Tomorrow in the
Netherlands to find out how Windows Media Player and RFID will give us a
better world than the Jetsons had ...
