You aren't sending an e-mail to Richard Chirgwin; the Link system sends the
message. Since I have subscribed to the list, I have consented to have it
send messages to me. You are sending messages to Link at anu.edu.au.
Exposure might exist where people use "reply to all" rather than only
replying to the list. But that exposure is to the individual, not to the
list owner (moderator, whatever).
What I hate most about spam is that it's brought about this legislation. I
don't like the intrusion. But I would only have the right to complain if I
had a better idea...
