answer: one. I typed in "Rural Infrastructure" Fund and it was the
first on the results list. Of course I knew there was an issue given your
post, so putting the " " seemed like a logical way to hone in more
accurately. I wouldn't have had a clue using just clicks of the hierarchy
list because I wouldn't know which department it was run from.
My point for asking about similar organisations to MMV was to see if there
are any coordinated statements at state level in other states regarding
programs to improve accessibility and usability in support of target
populations like aged, disabled, language, and income. I'm doing a project
which covers all three that I would like to leverage into a govt policy for
addressing those populations.
But your comment about navigation difficulties goes to show that even in a
state where accessibility has been a high priority, it is so difficult to
get it up to standard. Even some of the language [some? much!] is
cryptic. What in the heck is "common services"? Thought I'd click
it. Guess what. The search box of my previous search is combined with the
left nav choice, so I got a null result! I would have thought I would just
be taken to Common Services. Then I tried to erase the search terms and
select Common Services again. Nope, same non-result.
Then I went back to Home, expecting to see Common Services. Nope. Have to
remember it was listed under Do It Online, which if you select that, ends
up with 748 options on the results list. Makes you wonder how 'common' this
I'll stop picking. Thanks to those who made suggestions re NSW. I'll have
a snoop. Kerry, I may give you a ring.
