For what it's worth, I am traveling in Canada at the moment. I bring up
Australia's involvement in Iraq during conversation and am constantly met
with surprise by the locals. "Australia is in Iraq?" They are even more
surprised to find out Australia was in Viet Nam. Somehow, it does not "fit"
in the Canadian mind for Aussies to go all the way with Bush & Co.
Of course, Canada itself did not join the coalition of
the willing, and yet somehow the border here is still open to the USA,
Canucks are still working in the USA and NAFTA has not collapsed.
