Why? I haven't got an answer for you but I wonder about the role played by 
our own
Internet Industry Association in the debate over IP issues and the FTA.

Surely the IIA's membership of the pro FTA lobby group - www.austa.net -
compromises their ability to take a position based on the merits of the 
arguments.
