I dumped the ANZ many years before the 'Net when I had a dormant account
that eventually went o/d by about $10 due to "charges" and I got the
standard snotty letter demanding deposit of funds to cover.
I went into the local branch, slapped the o/d on the counter and told
them to close the account, to which the immediate response was "there
will be a $7.50 account closing fee".
I gather my response was clearly audible outside the bank :)
