I think if the technology becomes very pervasive, there will be
simple countermeasures that you'll be able to acquire, much like the
wallpaper that defeats mobile phone signals. Perhaps some vehicles,
clothing and private areas (lavatories, &c) may have an RFID "blanket"
or "cloaking device" that screens out or mixes up RFID messages so as to
make them more socially acceptable.
Perhaps RFID pixie dust should have (does it have already?)
a TTL, like a cookie, otherwise there's going to be a lot of empty
Coke cans and Macca's wrappers littering the frequency spectrum as well
as the physcial landscape.
