Amazingly, when I did use Word years ago, I had no trouble
doing the same thing as you suggest. Yes it is possible. It
is also possible to train someone to use notepad to produce
a text file. (Sounds silly, doesn't it .. but people do need
training in these things.)
My point is that Word users are dumbed down to the point of not even
being able to do the above. And, no, I do not have the time ot
inclination to repeat the above instructions ad nauseum for time
immemorial.
I wish I could simpy say: Could you please resend that in plain
text? ... and be understood.
