Ch9 in Adelaide was interesting. The PM's media conference was just
before the start of the Adelaide Crows v Port Adelaide Power AFL match,
which Ch9 were telecasting live. The Showdown is a grudge match between
the two local AFL teams, which both have a long-standing loathing of the
other. No sooner had the PM announced the election and started to answer
questions than vision changed mid-sentence to the starting bounce of the
game.

If the game had started two minutes earlier my bet would be that Ch9
would have shown the AFL. It would get less complaints that way.

The ABC stuck with the gardening, and good on them. The old dearies
watching have seen enough elections come and go. If the pollies know
what's good for them they won't complain too much: Peter Cundall
would romp home as a Tasmanian independent :-)

The blatant anti-Liberal bias of the ABC has started already; the late
movie is

1:20am No Love For Johnnie (Repeat, PG)

although that may change, as the previous show is

  12:20am Parliament Question Time

:-)
