[LINK] Testing new SPAM laws

YEH!  It finally happened!

I got some spam recently telling me I can win a car if I subscribe to some 
aussie magazines.

I wrote telling the company that I have no relationship with them, never 
asked for the email and demanded to be removed from the list.  i also 
advised them of the spam legislation.

Today I got another one, reminding me that I only have a few days left to 
enter the competition.

Clearly a violation of the act, especially in light of the request to be 
removed.

I intend undertaking a civil proceeding to test the law against the company 
unless of course they give me some form of compensation.

A new car might be a nice way to convince me of the errors of their ways!

I'll keep Link posted no this issue!

- Yes I'm serious, I'll be in the courts on Friday lodging papers, so 
another one isn't that big a deal.
